Also, our professional driving instructors are trained to spot possible incidents from further away and can instruct your child to avoid them before a collision occurs.

Darwin Driving School recognizes that everyone learns at a different pace. Some people may only need a few driving lessons and others require more. It also depends on the frequency of your driving lessons and previous experience. We at Darwin Driving School suggest no matter which driving school you choose, have one or two lessons and then ask your instructor to give you an approximate estimate.

No. Darwin Driving School offers driving tuition to a number of other drivers:

• Preparatory training for senior drivers entering the re-testing phase beyond 85 years of age
• General driving assessments for licensed drivers looking for an objective assessment of their driving competence
• Learners learning later in life. It is not uncommon to start to learn in your 30s, 40s, 50s or even later. Our approach in flexible to learners of all ages.
• Overseas licence holders wanting to obtain an Australian licence

You will need to hold a learner’s licence or a driver’s licence before you book your lesson with Darwin Driving School. Information on getting your Learner’s Permit from your local Darwin Motor Vehicle Registry can be found on our Learner’s Licence Information Page.

Once you book your driving lesson, your Darwin Driving School instructor will pick you up at your chosen location. This can be your home address, your work, school or other location within Darwin. Your lesson will take place within Darwin and you will be dropped off at the end of your lesson at your chosen location. Please remember to specify your pickup and drop off location to your instructor when booking your driving lessons as this will help to maintain their schedule.
